What is the difference between BioDigest and Bioptim?
Bioptim is a blend of nutrients for bacteria (prebiotics), while BioDigest contains live bacteria (probiotics). When used together, they maximize the effectiveness and activity of the aquarium’s biological filtration by supporting both bacterial populations and their nutritional needs.
Is it possible to overdose Bioptim?
No, it is not possible to overdose Bioptim under normal use. Bioptim is a natural prebiotic product that enhances bacterial activity. Any excess nutrients will be consumed by the aquarium’s bacteria as part of the biological process.
Why use Bioptim? Can the bacteria not find their own food in the aquarium?
While bacteria can obtain nutrients naturally within the aquarium, these are often not available in sufficient quantity or optimal proportions. Bioptim provides a targeted and balanced nutrient source, allowing bacteria to focus their energy more efficiently on the breakdown and transformation of nitrogen compounds.
Why is the colour of my Bioptim darker or different than my last box? Is that normal?
Yes, this is normal. Due to the use of natural active ingredients, slight color variations may occur between batches. This does not affect the product’s quality or effectiveness.
Can you use Bioptim in saltwater aquariums?
No. Bioptim is formulated for freshwater aquariums only.
