Reef Booster

How often can Reef Booster be added to the aquarium?

Reef Booster should be added to the aquarium every 15 days, according to the recommended dosage guidelines.

Can you add Reef Booster alongside a Coral food such Red Sea Reef Energy Plus?

Yes, Reef Booster can be used simultaneously with other coral nutrition products, such as Red Sea Reef Energy Plus.

Will adding Reef Booster increase NO₃ (nitrate) and PO₄ (phosphate) levels?

Reef Booster does not raise nitrate or phosphate levels in any significant way that would negatively affect the aquarium or be detectable by standard test kits.

Should I turn off my Protein Skimmer when dosing Reef Booster?

Yes. For best results, the protein skimmer should be switched off for approximately two hours after dosing Reef Booster. This allows the corals and other invertebrates sufficient time to absorb the nutrients.

Is it normal for the water to become cloudy after dosing Reef Booster?

Yes, temporary cloudiness is completely normal after dosing Reef Booster due to the nature of the product. The water will gradually clear within a few hours as corals and other invertebrates absorb the nutrients.

Is it possible to overdose Reef Booster?

Yes, it is possible to overdose Reef Booster. It is important to follow the recommended dosage of one ampoule per 120–200 liters. If an overdose occurs, there is generally no risk to livestock. However, you may experience prolonged water cloudiness and increased skimmer activity (over-skimming). Both effects should subside within 24 hours as the corals and live rock absorb the excess product. If cloudy water persists beyond 24 hours and/or livestock shows signs of distress, perform an immediate 25% water change. Continue to monitor livestock closely and carry out additional partial water changes if necessary.

What is the benefit of adding Reef Booster to my fish food?

Reef Booster is a nutrient-rich supplement containing omega-3 fatty acids and essential trace elements, making it an excellent additive to fish food. After preparing the food, add a few drops—or up to one ampoule, depending on the quantity of food—and allow it to soak in before feeding. When added to fish food, Reef Booster can improve palatability, particularly for newly introduced fish, weakened specimens, or selective feeders.
